Welcome
The meeting was called to order. Tia welcomed all members,
new members and guests.
Minutes
The May meeting minutes were
accepted with no changes.
Introductions
The new members were introduced
and Tia mentioned new member Wes Blalock (who was a guest at the May meeting) had came by earlier but, could not stay due
to a prior engagement.
Old Business
No old business was discussed.
New Business
Website
Tia asked if anyone had checked out our new web sight. She suggested that we go look at it
and make comments.
Kenneth Fletcher spoke about the possibilities for the website. He asked
the membership for ideas of a chapter “Road Name”. He stated that there is a guest sign-in book and a for sale
page and in the future would be a printable calendar.
Gary Rimer suggested that we add message board or blog to the web and make it login secure to members only.
Chapter Activities
Since the May meeting, members attended the following chapter activities:
· May 18 Chandler Alumni Poker Run, 15-20 members attended. Matthew won high hand. Congrats! Dale then announced that on the run 7 miles east of Chandler
his motorcycle rolled over 100,000 miles.
· May 30 Bandana’s Dinner Ride, 21 members attended. Live music, good fish, and great friends.
· May 31 Outlaws & Lawmen Run Poker Run, 6 members attended, but the weather caused them to have
to ride south and not ride the poker run. A good time was still enjoyed. A good
day of riding.
· May 25th Chickasha Muscle Car Ranch, 11 members attended. Tia told the story of how she turned her
bike over in the grass. The guys rushed to her bike but forgot about her!. LOL
A great day of charcoaling hamburger, riding, and great company made it a wonderful trip. The
muscle car ranch owner invited us to attend their September event.
Member’s activities
Tia asked had anyone else been riding.
· Thad Campbell attended Winding Creek had a good time. Tia, asked did we have any pictures from the
event for the web?
New Business
· Tia presented the idea for discussion of SCRC Chapter 194 putting up a hospitality booth at area events and have membership drives.
· New Rides Robin Watts, Matthew Winfrey, Vickie Brimm and
Karen Stillwell
all
had new bikes, and congratulations to each of them. Karen is a brand new rider and shared her story about her first ride experience.
Reminder: There are two kinds of bikers, those who have laid their bike down and those who are waiting to lay their
bike down.
· The members were asked to volunteer for alternate Road Captains and Tailgunners. The following members volunteered:
Road Captains: Kenneth Fletcher, Brian Jackson
Tailgunners: Kenny Skaggs
· Dale Moffitt presented ideas for a mileage program. Highlights
of the program
would encourage riding
and displaying your patch, celebrating significant mileage markers, and might spur a friendly competition among members in
good fun. Mileage can be posted on the website as well at Kickstandz. Details
and more ideas to follow.
· Members to participate in Iron Butt Ride
Cindy
& Robby Sinclair are going to participate in the Iron Butt Ride this month.
Kickstandz is the proud sponsor for Cindy.
An article is in The Weekly Gazette news paper (dated May23) about
their upcoming trip. The trip is to benefit the Fisher House. When they return another article is planned to tell about their
trip. The trip will be 1000 miles
within 24 hours, leaving McAlister, OK ending in Spearfish, SD. Cindy and Tia
will keep in contact via cell phone to document the experience and will share her stories via email with the chapter. Let’s
stay tuned to support Cindy and Robby!

· The club discussed Santa Fest and decided to participate on an individual basis rather than a club

· Tia reminded the members that if they attend a Patriot Guard Mission, do not wear the SCRC patch. SCRC national has requested that even though members support both organizations, please
keep the organizations separate due to the litigious opportunities that can occur.
Next meeting is July 8, 2008 at Kickstandz.
Note: If you would like to volunteer to help with dinner for the July meeting, please email Tia.
