NEW BUSINESS
We welcome our newest member Debbie Hill. We also have three other new members, Freddie Walker, Wayne Walker and Barry Templeton
who transferred from the OKC chapter to our chapter.
STATE MEET
The state meet is now over and was a success. Everything went as smooth as possible and everyone enjoyed himself or herself. We do however still have T-shirts, patches, pins and pamphlets available to purchase
and will be listing on our website.
We will be trying to raise $1500.00 for St. Jude’s
to present at nationals in addition to what we raised with the state meet. If
$1500.00 is raised then Hammer will hopefully give up his locks and receive a personal haircut from a member of Chapter 194.
It has been suggested that the chapter have a
garage sale to raise money for St. Jude’s.
If anyone has any other suggestions please let
Tia know.
OTHER BUSINESS
Some of the members from the Denton, TX chapter
of SCRC participated in our state meet and have invited us to come to their state meet October 9-11 and the town of Sallisaw
has invited us to come to the Kool Kars, Guitars & Handlebars event on October 9-10th, there will be groups
from our chapter who will be going to these events and if you can’t make it to one maybe you can go to the other.
Upcoming events – The Star
Riders will be hosting a poker run on June 20th.
The Blackberry Festival.
Fourth of July Parade in McLoud.
We need to start planning some rides
for our chapter. There have been some suggested dinner rides to plan and even
doing some of these on the weekends. Jake’s Ribs, McGehee Catfish Restaurant
and Pokies are some that have been mentioned.
If there are any rides or upcoming events that
anyone may want to suggest please get on the forum and let us know so they can be added to the calendar. Now is the time for everyone to get together and ride.
